Teri Louden, President
The Louden Network
Teri has over 30 years of experience as a business executive in the medical technology, health care service, and consumer health markets. Early in her career she worked for Baxter, American Hospital Supply, and Booz Allen Hamilton. In January of 1983, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to launch The Louden Network, a health care consulting firm focused on assisting clients with sales, marketing, strategy, and business development. Based in Chicago, the firm serviced clients across all health care industry segments, but with a particular focus on the launch of new medical technologies. As the consulting practice grew, Teri expanded her firm’s services to include market research, health care industry trend forecasting, a national seminar series, and a publishing arm producing key industry studies, reports, and articles.
The Louden Network was based in downtown Chicago until 2000, when Teri relocated the business to San Diego. There she consulted for a venture-backed company called CardioNet, launching the first wireless mobile cardiac outpatient monitoring technology and service company. She then went full time with the company, and was a key member of the company’s national launch team. While there, Teri launched CardioNet’s first 24/7 cardiac monitoring center in Philadelphia, was the General Manager of the first CardioNet Service Center that launched with its first patients in the Fall of 2002, and returned to San Diego as the VP of Business Development. In 2008 CardioNet celebrated the anniversary of its 100,000th patient and a successful IPO.
After leaving CardioNet, Teri has returned to her own consulting practice and also serves on selected boards of directors. She provides marketing and sales strategies for all types of medical technology and health care service businesses, works with both companies and investors, and has a passion for working on new product and market launches. One of her areas of focus and specialization has also been in the planning and facilitating of retreats for business teams and physician advisory groups.
